Congratulations Quest Delegates!

Congratulations Quest delegates for the fantastic demonstration!

Passing a Motion

On December 2 Quest’s Model UN team put on a demonstration for the university community to expose Quest to MUN.  Everyone that attended was able to choose a country to represent before being seated and was able to participate in all aspects of the mini conference.  Though the Quest team did the most speaking during the more formal debates and the speaker’s list, the audience involved themselves during the unmoderated caucus and brought up some very valid points.

Everyone did an excellent job debating the issue of nuclear disarmament and in the end a resolution was passed that called for the eventual lessening of nuclear weapons internationally.  The MUN team is looking forward to introducing their new members to the finer points of MUN conferences.  Hopefully in the spring or next fall they will get a chance to compete against other universities and experience a larger conference first hand.
